Leonard MEALEY, Whittier, Calif., native of Jefferson County, died Sat. July 15. Bur. Whittier Friends Cemetery. Born Nov 10 1887 in Pleasant Plain, son of David H. And Minerva Fuqua MEALEY; attended local schools and Pleasant Plain Academy. Married Tirza MCCRACKEN Oct 14 1911. They lived in Pleasant Plain and Richland communities until for health reasons they moved to Whittier, Calif., in 1948. Their adopted daughter Mrs Carmen ANDERSON, and husband, soon joined them there. Mrs. MEALEY died Oct 12 1967. He married May PEACOCK May 3 1969 who survives. Also survived by the daughter, three grandchildren, and one brother who lives in Oregon. Preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
