Mrs D. H. MEALEY, widow of David H., for most of her life a resident of the Pleasant Plain community, died Mon. at the home of her daughter Mrs O. V. KLINGAMAN near Fairfield. Maiden name was Margaret Minerva FUQUA, married Oct 16 1873. Five of their six children survive: Mrs. O. T(?) KLINGERMAN of Fairfield; Merl of Walla Walla, Wash.; Alfred of Milton, Ore.; Mrs H A SHANNON of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Leonard of Richland. Bur. beside her husband in the cemetery at Brighton.

Obit. Margaret Minerva FUQUA, daughter of Ashbury and Sidney Gamble FUQUA, born in Tenn. July 15 1850; emigrated to Green Co., Mo., with her parents at two years of age. During the early ‘60’s moved to Pleasant Plain, Iowa, and in the year 1872 married David H. MEALEY who died May 7 1920. Member Presbyterian Church. Died in Fairfield June 27 1921. Survived by five children, one daughter Edna died June 22 1909. Remaining are Mrs O V KLINGMAN, Fairfield; Merl B., Walla Walla, Wash.; Alfred H., Milton, Ore.; Mrs H A SHANNON, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; S. Leonard, Richland, Iowa. Two brothers and two sisters also survive.
