Mrs. Wm. VOGEL died Monday; bur. Hillcrest Cemetery, Brighton. Josephine, daughter of Jacob and Sophia Kessel WERNER, born Aug 24 1852 in Baden Baden, Germany, died May 10 1920 age 67-8-16. Emigrated to America and with her parents settled at Burlington, Iowa, when a small child, later moving to Jefferson County; married to Wm. VOGEL June 13 1872 by the Rev. Pfister of the Germanville Lutheran church and they made their home on a farm near East Pleasant Plain until 13 years ago when they moved to Brighton. Leaves husband and four children, Wm. F. VOGEL of Fairfield; Mrs Anna POLIS of Brighton; Mrs IDA BONAR and Mrs Charlotte POLIS of Fairfield. Another child died in infancy. Also leaves six grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters, Dave WERNER of Mt Pleasant, Fred WERNER of Washington, Jacob WERNER of Brighton, Mrs Anna DIERS of Fairfield, and Mrs Charlotte KIENTZ of San Benito, Texas.
