MRS. ALONZO BARR, died Sunday in South Gate, Calif. Bur. there. Mrs Barr was born December 9 1858 in Mercer Co., Ill., daughter of Wm. & Martha Chidester.

In early girlhood came to Jefferson County with parents and settled near Packwood. September 19 1877 married Alonzo Barr...About 15 years ago they moved to Calif.

Survived by husband and children: Mrs. J.R. Johnson, east of Fairfield; Mrs. P.R. Laughlin of Wheaton, Ill.; Mrs. Carl Stanford and Mrs. W.N. Howell of Los Angeles; Mrs. Fred Raney of Long Beach; and Norval Barr of South Gate. Two children, Ray and Verle, preceded her in death.

She also leaves two sister, Mrs. Ira Braden of Leoti, Kansas, and Mrs. Adda McPherson of Los Angeles, 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Virginia Mae Anderson of Fairfield and Kenneth Lyle Blanchard of Los Angeles.
