OBITUARY

MRS. JAMES LIBLIN

Elizabeth Teresa DROZ was born in France, August 29, 1843, in the year 1855, she came to America and on July 2, 1861 she was married to James A. LIBLIN. For two years they resided in Cedar township and the rest of their married life was spent on the farm where they both died in Lockridge township. They traveled life's journey together some over 64 years (sic). Mr. LIBLIN passed away 4 years ago. Their home was always open to company and a welcome hand held out to every one. To this union nine children were born, the eldest son James F. Passing away Sept. 20, 1927.

During her last illness all was done that loving hands and medical care could do, but the Great Creator's will was to call her home on Monday morning at 1:30, January 6, 1930. Seven of her eight children visited her during her last day of life. With her passing one of the oldest settlers, and most esteemed neighbors and a kind loving mother is gone.

Those who are left to mourn are her eight children, Mrs. George PARSONS, Fairfield; Mrs. Amelia JERREL, Fairfield, Ia.; L. J. LIBLIN, Richland, Ia.; Mrs. S. D. PARSONS, Salina, Ia.; Mrs. Jule (sic - Julie) KELLER, Fairfield, Ia.; Frank LIBLIN, Peoria, Ill.; Joseph LIBLIN, Four Corners; John LIBLIN, Salina, Ia., and 22 grand children and 19 great grand children, with many other relatives.

Funeral services were held from St. Mary's Catholic church in Fairfield, Wednesday morning at 1 oclock in charge of Father F. E. Gaule and interment was in the Patterson (sic - Pattison) cemetery. Six of her grand sons carried her to her last resting place. They were Floyd and Russell PARSONS, Marshall and Ralph KELLER, Rollie PARSONS and Clifford JERREL.
