Eliza KOONTZ (KOONS), daughter of George and Mary (Eller) KOONS, born near New Castle, Ind., Sept 8 1837; died at home of her son Sherm F. MYERS in Anita, Iowa, Aug 18 1916 age 78-11-10.....Came to Jefferson County with her parents in 1838.....Sept 8 1859 married Dr J. L. MYERS of Fairfield, Iowa; seven children were born, three died at different ages. In 1875 she with her remaining four children came to Cass County, Iowa, and on Dec 23 of that year she married Henry C. HERBERT who died 18 years ago.....Survivors.
