George R. THOMSON, retired Libertyville farmer, 72, died suddenly Fri. night at Jefferson Co. Hosp.. Made his home at west edge of Libertyville. Behner Funeral Home.

Born Feb. 14, 1894, in Henry Co., son of Andrew and Anna PETERSON THOMSON; married Apr. 14, 1921, to Fern M. RINIKER. Veteran WWI and member Libertyville Methodist Church.

Surviving are widow and one son, Stanley G. THOMSON, Des Moines; 6 grandchildren and brothers and sisters: Thomas THOMSON, Libertyville; Jacob THOMSON, Fairfield; Bert THOMSON, Baudette, Minn.; Mrs. Helen HOWELL, Lockridge; Mrs. Lottie SCHWARTZ, Winfield; Mrs. Myrtle PEQUIGNOT and Mrs. Jessie LEE, both of Fairfield. One daughter, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

THOMSON RITES AT LIBERTYVILLE. Funeral services for George R. THOMSON, 72, retired farmer, were held this afternoon at the Libertyville Methodist Church. THOMSON died Friday night at Jefferson County Hospital. Rites were conducted by the Rev. Elton Coleman, Moravia, and Rev. Kenneth Johnson. American Legion rites at Fell Cemetery.
