Mrs. Margaret SMITH died this morning at the home of her son John R. SMITH, four miles s.w. of Fairfield. Born Aug. 9, 1829, at Danville, Ill.. Fell Cemetery.

Mrs. Carlisle SMITH. Margaret RUCKMAN was born in Vermillion County, Ill., Aug. 9, 1829. Being deprived of a mother's care when quite young, she came to Jefferson County to make her home with a sister. Married, Jan. 30, 1849.... Age 93-11-8.

Survived by two sons and one daughter, L.D. and J.R. SMITH of near Libertyville, and Mrs. C. M. LEGGIT of Bellville, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren....
