LIBERTYVILLE, Mar. 16. Funeral services over the body of Mrs. J. N. STOKES were held last Sunday. Mrs. STOKES died at the advanced age of 70 years. She was well known in this county.

Note: In 1885 the family lived in the Douds area (Van Buren County, IA). Mrs. STOKES may have been Mary D. STOKES. We have no record of her burial in Jefferson County, IA, but note that husband Jose's will was filed here in 1893. It's possible they're buried in Van Buren County.
