Page 6, Column 2LIBERTYVILLE. W. S. SLIMMER, a long time resident of this place, died at his home on Thurs., Mar. 26. Stricken about noon with heart failure in front of the post office. He was removed to his home, dying about 3:30, but never regained consciousness. He was 65 years of age and the father of nine children.
Born in Ross County, Ohio, Dec. 5, 1849, and was married to Mary Elizabeth FAULKNER on Apr. 15, 1869 by Rev. Hayden.
Children survive: David SLIMMER, Ordway, Col.; Wm. of Sugar City, Col.; Oliver, Samuel, Caleb, Naham, Mrs. Edna VANDERBUR, Miss Winnie, and Mrs. PEAKE, all of Russell, Kansas.... Fell Cemetery.

In Jefferson County Marriage Records, he is noted as Peter W. S. SLIMMER, marrying Mary E. FALKNER, License #3306 on 15 Apr 1869.
