Hanna, the youngest child of P.J. and Doctor Karna Hanson was born at Fjelkestad, Sweden, Oct. 2, 1864. She came to America at the age of 12 years.
On December 25, 1882, she was united in marriage to John T. Cline near Glasgow, Ia., where they lived for 43 years. Retiring from the farm they moved to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, in 1924, where the husband passed away in 1934.
She leaves to mourn her departure three daughters: Mrs. Estella Billingsley, Glasgow, Montant, Mrs. Minnie Cooper, and Mrs. Gladys Cornick, Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Manning J. Cline, Mt. Pleasant, Arlo W. Cline, Burlington, Harold T. Cline, Salem, 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Besides the husband who preceded her in death, two dying in infancy, Elsie Carrine at the age of 12 and Prudence Lolita Smith, the youngest daughter, in Dec. 1931.
She accepted Christ as her Savior in early life, and was a member of Round Prairie Baptist church until she transferred her membership to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church. Mother Cline was always found at a place of worship as long as health permitted.
Services were held at the Round Prairie Baptist church conducted by Rev. Warren L. Green assisted by Rev. Charles Pearson of Cedar Creek. Pallbearers were Wilbur Cooper, Merril Cline, Arlo Cline, Jr., Kenneth Wasson, Marcellus Cooper and Emery Crane, Jr. Music was furnished by Mrs. Marie Barton and Mrs. Harry Thompson who sang "If I Could Tell of Jesus" and "It Is Well With My Soul", accompanied by Mrs. Edna Church.
