Ira Alvin PEEBLER was the son of Ellis H. PEEBLER and Delilah BROWN PEEBLER, born March 19, 1864, and passed away April 3, 1936 at the age of 72 years and 15 days. He died at the Burlington hospital where he had been a patient for nearly four weeks.

He united in marriage with Samantha E. COPELAND on April 5, 1888. To this union five children were born: Raymond R. and Ralph V. of Fairfield, Iowa, Fred L. of Libertyville, Mrs. Bertha FRESCOLN of Batavia and Mrs. Florence KILZER of Lavonne, Wyoming, who with his wife and ten grandchildren survive him. He also leaves four brothers and three sisters: George B. and L. A. of Batavia, F. W. of Libertyville and James W. of Cedaridge, Colorado. Mrs. Nora DAWSON of La Habra Heights, California, Mrs. Fred SALMONS of Scaton, Ill., and Mrs. Frank ACTON of Batavia.

He united with the Methodist church at Libertyville in the year of 1914 where he was an active member until his health prevented and a faithful member to the end.

He was laid to rest by loving hands on April 5, 1936 the day which would have been his 48th wedding anniversary.

His death is the first break in his immediate family since the passing of his father 22 years ago.

He departed this life in a peaceful manner, much the same as he had lived. He was a quiet honest and loving husband and father, leaving a community of friends and neighbors to mourn their loss.

The services were held at the Methodist church on April 5 in charge of Rev. C. F. Coggshell. The choir sang two beautiful songs accompanied by Mrs. T. D. Johnson at the piano.

The pall bearers were nephews of the deceased: Keith Parker, Wayne Peebler, Elmer Copeland, Bernard Peebler, Harold Hite and Ellis Peebler.

The flower attendants were Mrs. Frances Hite and Mrs. Hazel Parker.

**I extensively research the PEEBLER lineage.**

Admin. note: Wife Samantha died in 1946 and is buried with him.
