Page 6, Column 4From the Lebanon, Oregon, "Express": DEATH OF A MOTHER IN ISRAEL -- At the residence of her son-in-law, John R. SMITH, Esq., in Lebanon on Monday, Nov. 11, 1895, Mrs. Susan IMBLER PEEBLER, aged 88-8-13.
She was born Susan IMBLER in Muhlenburg County, Ky., 28 Feb. 1807; married 17 July 1827, David PEEBLER, who survives. In the autumn of the same year the young couple moved from Kentucky to Sangamon County, Ill..... In 1838 removed to Jefferson County, Iowa, where they remained for 15 years. They made the long and tedious journey across the plains to Oregon in 1853...
Mrs. PEEBLER was the mother of 11 children, seven of whom survive her: Mrs. Fanny BROOKS, Mrs. Mary WEST, Mrs. Nancy LUTZ, Mr. Fred PEEBLER, Mrs. A. Eliza SMITH, Mrs. Salome E. CUSICK, and Mr. George D. PEEBLER. Of the children who passed away before the mother, two, Michael and Agnes, died in infancy, while Mrs. Martha N. MONTAGUE died at Lebanon in 1878, aged 36 years, and Mr. Wm. PEEBLER on his farm near Lebanon in 1889, aged 57....
