Absalom HESTON died this morning at his home 507 W. Madison. Bur. Evergreen. Passed his 86th birthday on Jan. 12. Born in Indiana, came to this county with his parents when only a few months old. Survived by wife, one sister, Jane HESTON of Libertyville, six children: Mrs Carrie IVINS of Leon, Iowa; Mrs. Mae BRYAN of Independence, Kansas; Mrs. Pearl SMITH of Port Angeles, Washington; Albert HESTON of Jennings Lodge, Ore.; and Wm. HESTON and Lorenzo HESTON of Fairfield....

OBITUARY. Absalom HESTON, son of Samuel and Lucinda, born Ind. Jan. 12, 1852, died Jan. 22, 1938, aged 86 y. 10 d.. Came to Jefferson County when only a few months old.

In 1874 married Sarah ARMSTRONG; five children, one daughter Rosa died in early womanhood. Four surviving: Mrs. Mae BRYAN, Independence, Kansas; Mrs. Carrie IVINS of Leon, Iowa; Wm. E. HESTON of Fairfield; and Mrs. Pearl SMITH of Port Angeles, Wash..

Wife died in 1888; in 1890 he married Emma CARMAN, who survives; two sons, Lorenzo R. of Fairfield and Albert E. of Jennings Lodge, Ore.. He also leaves 25 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren. One sister, Jane HESTON of Libertyville, is now the only remaining member of the family of nine children. Free Methodist Church.... Evergreen Cemetery.
