Page 2, Column 2MAHLON HESTON DIED THIS MORNING.
Mahlon HESTON died this morning at eleven o'clock at his home on West Hempstead street, after an illness of ten days with pneumonia. He was born in Harrison county, Ohio, on August 3, 1848.
The funeral will be held Friday Friday (sic) morning at 10:30 from the Christian church. Interment will be in Everreen (sic) cemetery.

Page 3, Column 3LIFE OF MAHLON HESTON.
Mahlon HESTON, son of Samuel and Lucinda HESTON, was born in Harrison county, Ohio, on August 3, 1848, and passed away in this city January 16, 1918. In 1852, he moved to Bladensburg, Iowa, with his parents and a few years later moved to Cross Lanes.
On April 27, 1868, he was united in marriage to Miss Harriett STILES in Fairfield. To this union were born seven children, four of whom, two girls and two boys, have preceded their father in death. Besides the sorrowing wife, three sons are left to mourn the loss of a loving father. They are, James, Luther and Charles HESTON, all of this city. He also leaves two sisters, Miss Jane HESTON of Libertyville, and Mrs. Sarah McCLEARY of Batavia, and three brothers, Douglas of Libertyville, William of Havensville, Kansas, and Absolom of this city.
The funeral services were held Friday morning from the Christian church at 10:30, in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly, and burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

Page 5, Column 5Mahlon HESTON, son of Samuel and Lucinda, born Harrison Co., Ohio, Aug. 3, 1848, died at his home in Fairfield, Iowa, Jan. 16, 1918. In 1852 moved to Bladensburg, Iowa, with his parents, and a few years later moved to Cross Lanes.
Apr. 27, 1868, married Miss Harriett STILES in Fairfield. Seven children, four of whom, two boys and two girls, have preceded their father in death.
Leaves wife and three sons: James, Luther and Charles; two sisters, Miss Jane HESTON of Libertyville, and Mrs. Sarah McCLEARY of Batavia, and three brothers: Douglas (?) of Libertyville, William of Havensville, Kan., and Absalom HESTON of Fairfield.... Evergreen Cemetery.
