ANSWERED LAST ROLL CALL.

The body of Jacob C. FRY, a former citizen of Jefferson County and a brave soldier of the Civil War, was interred at Libertyville Saturday. Funeral held at Presbyterian Church in that place....

Born near Chambersburg, Penn., March 6, 1825, and grew to manhood there. Married in 1845 Eliza Jane McFARLAND, who died at Louisville, O., May 1st 1855. Five children, those living are George R., James M. and John W. FRY of this city, and Mrs. Hattie SCOVEL of Liberty Township.

Mr. FRY came to Jefferson County Sept. 1, 1856, and located in Liberty Township. Here he was married to Isabelle ANDERSON, March 17, 1870, and she survives. Five children of this union, four living: William W., Rollin J., and Nellie L. FRY and Mrs. Effie M. WALKER, all in Minnesota. Mr. FRY was engaged in farming and other pursuits in the vicinity of Libertyville until 1892, when he came to this city. In 1904 he removed to St. Paul, Minn., where he died at 262 Cathedral Place, the 13th inst., from pneumonia.

In 1861 Mr. FRY enlisted for service in the Civil War as a musician in the Fourth Iowa Cavalry. He resigned to aid in the organization of Co. H, 30th Iowa Infantry, which was largely composed of old friends and neighbors... Member of the First Presbyterian Church of this city in 1902. Always a man of the strictest honesty and utmost integrity... He was one of the men who aided both in making the country what it is and in protecting it from its enemies.
