DIED, at her residence near Jewell Centre, Kansas, Nov 29 1875, Mattie E., wife of D. J. Vance, aged 29 years 8 months and 23 days. Born at Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio on 6 Mar 1846 and removed with her parents to Jefferson County, Iowa in 1851 or about that time. She lost her mother when she was but nine years old, was left under the care of her father with three other sisters. Married, Sept 20 1865. M. E. Church.....removed with her now bereaved husband and children to this county in the spring of 1872.....
