Death of Sen. Sanford M. Boling at his home in this city Thurs. Born in Muskingum Co., Ohio Dec. 31, 1834. Grew to manhood in that county and in the early days of the war of the rebellion enlisted in Co. F, 122nd Ohio Vol. Inf.....Came to Fairfield in Jan. 1865 and on the 17th day of that month was married to Miss Hester A. Younkin who survives. One child, now Mrs. W. T. Millikin was born.....in 1879 he was elected state senator and was the last citizen of Jefferson County to hold that responsible position.....remains taken to Chariton for interment. Mason.
