DEATH SUMMONS MISS EVA DOLE
Well Known Jefferson County Woman Died Here This Morning

Miss Eva DOLE, a member of a well known Jefferson county family, passed away at her home here, 51 East Stone street at 9:30 o'clock this morning. She has been an invalid for a number of years and suffered from a complication of diseases. She has resided with her brother, J. Wilbur DOLE, since the death of her parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the First Methodist church. Dr. U. S. Smith will have charge.

Dr. Smith Will Have Charge of Services in Methodist Church

Funeral services for Mary Evaline DOLE will be held in the First Methodist Episcopal church Monday, July 27, at 2:30 oclock conducted by Dr. U. S. Smith, asssisted by Rev. J. I. Doll (sic - Dool). Interment wil be in the family lot in Evergreen cemetery.

Mary Evaline DOLE, generally known as Eva, was born August 30, 1854, in Center township, Jefferson county, Iowa, and died at 9:30 a.m., July 24, 1931, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 24 days. She was the only daughter of Joseph R. and Maria E. DOLE. The father died July 19th, 1901 in his 77th year, and the mother January 9, 1913 in her 81st year.

Two brothers preceded her in death, Charles A. died in Los Angeles, California, March 21, 1930 in his 80th year, and John F. died in Boulder, Colorado, May 30, 1931 in his 74th year.

She leaves two brothers, Frank W. of Fellsmere, Florida, and J. Wilbur of this city, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn her loss.

Her early life was spent on the family homestead six miles northwest of Fairfield. In the fall of 1898 the family noved to the home at 51 East Stone street in Fairfield, where after the death of the father and mother she continued to live with her brother Widbur (sic). She was always a devoted self sacrificing daughter and sister, and never married. She was never rugged and for the greater part of the last twenty years of her life was an invalid, but she was always hopeful, cheerful and contented. She has been a member of the Methodist Episcopay (sic) church of Fairfield for the past thirty years.
