Front Page, Column 4WYNDON DAVIS DIED IN DETROIT HOSPITAL LAST EVENING
Wyndon H. DAVIS, son of Dr. and Mrs. S. K. DAVIS of Libertyville, died last evening about ten o'clock of scarlet fever, at the Herman Keisser Hospital at Detroit, Mich., where he was an interne. Many Fairfield friends and acquaintances pause in sympathy to the family in the death of this most excellent young man. Born and reared to young manhood at Libertyville and so well known in this entire community, his passing has brot (sic) the deepest sorrow. The young man would have obsrved the twenty-third anniversary of his birth in June.
Wyndon DAVIS graduated from Parsons College with the class of 1916. He then entered the State University at Iowa City, obtaining his degree of medicine this spring, and had the honor of being the youngest medical student graduating from the college. Ambitious and talented, and with a bright future, he went to Detroit, where he entered the Herman Keisser hospital as interne. He was on duty in the scarlet fever ward, and here contracted the disease that ended fatally. In one more week he would have completed his work in this division of the hospital. His father and brother, were with him during his illness.
Dr. DAVIS was united in marriaige (sic) to Agnes McEWAN of Orange City, Iowa, six weeks ago. The young people were former class-mates, graduating from the same class of Parsons college. Mrs. DAVIS has been visiting at the home of her husband's parents in Libertyville, and is seriously ill.
Dr. DAVIS is survived by his young wife, his parents and one brother, Dr. A. C. DAVIS of Iowa City. The body will be brot (sic) to Libertyville, tomorrow morning(.) Definite hour of the funeral services has not been made this afternoon.

Page 2, Column 2Word came to the college this morning that Wyndon DAVIS, a former Parsons student, had died from scarlet fever at Detroit, where he was an interne in the hospital there. Mr. DAVIS attended Parsons College and then graduated several weeks ago at Iowa City.

Page 2, Column 3PRIVATE FUNERAL FOR WYNDON H. DAVIS AT LIBERTYVILLE
Private funeral services for Wyndon H. DAVIS, will be held from the home of his parents, Dr. and Mrs. S. K. DAVIS, tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock. The services will be conducted by Rev. J. C. Behrens of Libertyville. Interment in Evergreen cemetery at 3:30 o'clock.
Dr. DAVIS, father and the brother, A. C. DAVIS, accompanied the body of the young man from Detroit, Mich., arriving at Libertyville this morning. His death occurred Sunday evening in the hospital at Detroit.

Front Page, Column 4The death of Dr. Wyndon H. DAVIS occured Sunday night, May 16, 1920 at Detroit, Michigan, where he was serving as an intern in a large hospital.
Dr. DAVIS was the son of Dr. and Mrs. S. K. DAVIS of Libertyville. After completing the course in the academy here, he entered Parsons college and was graduated with the class of 1916. Having decided to follow the profession of his father, and older brother, he entered the medical department of the Iowa state university. Here he made a fine record and was given the degree of Doctor of Medicine in March, 1920. In order to further prepare himself in medicine, he entered the hospital in April for a year's internship. While serving in a contagious ward he contracted scarlet fever, which resulted in his death.Dr. DAVIS was united in marriage to Miss Agnes McEWAN, of Orange City, Iowa, a former classmate. Mrs. DAVIS, a brother, Dr. A. C. DAVIS of Iowa City and his parents survive him.
To many friends and acquaintances his passing brings sorrow. His splendid preparation for his life work, his ability and his energy gave promise of a brilliant future.
Private funeral services were held this afternoon at two p.m. from the home in Libertyville.
