Mrs. FRESHWATER Taken In Death

BIRMINGHAM, Ia. -- Mrs. Robert FRESHWATER, 61, died Wednesday at 10 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital. For the past 10 years she had resided on a farm northwest of Birmingham.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Birmingham Methodist church. The Rev. Donald C. Wright will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Ora Reep. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield. The body is at the Catcott Funeral home in Keosauqua.

Mrs. FRESHWATER was the former Hazel Mae CREEK. She was born near Libertyville Jan. 27, 104 (sic - 1904), the daughter of Charles E. and Alice STUMP CREEK. She was married to Robert FRESHWATER Nov. 23, 1923. The couple operated a dairy and restaurant in Birmingham for 20 years.

Surviving are husband and children: Mrs. Clifford CANADAY, Virginia Beach, Va.; Mrs. Fred WORKMAN, Fairfield; and Robert G. "Jake" FRESHWATER, Webb City, Mo.

Other survivors are six grandchildren and four brothers: John CREEK, Libertyville; Rollie and Raymond CREEK, Batavia; and Van CREEK, Berkeley, Calif.
