J. J. COWAN passed away Jan. 28 after an illness of several months and was buried on the 29th of January. Funeral services were conducted by the Revs. McElroy and Hayden. Elder in the Presbyterian Church.

Note: Buried in Fell Cemetery. In his 76th year according to his gravestone. Married at least twice - wife Agness shares his stone, yet his probate record notes Evalina M. as his widow.
