Clinton E. CLEASBY, 78, longtime resident of the Libertyville and Fairfield communities, died about noon Monday at the Fairfield Convalescent Home. Raymond Funeral Home. Burial in Fell Cemetery.

Born Oct. 22, 1888, in Correctionville, Iowa, son of Charles and Frances DAGWELL CLEASBY. He was in the hardware and furniture business in Libertyville for weveral years before moving to Fairfield 20 years ago. He was employed at the Heston and Anderson firm for a number of years before his retirement. Veteran of World War I. Never married.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. S. H. WATKINS, Stockport; three nieces, Mrs. Hugh NEWMAN, Stockport; Mrs. Henry PRINZHORN, Dallas, Texas; and Helen PRICE, Chicago. Preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
