Samuel THRASH, one of Jefferson County's pioneers...age 83 y. 10 m. 15 d. Leaves wife and four children--Mrs. ILGINFRITZ of Fairfield; John and Douglas THRASH, and Mrs. Samuel ZEIGLER of Louisiana. Deceased was born in Montgomery County, Va., January 30, 1816; came to Jefferson County in 1839, where he made a claim constituting what is known as the Zeigler place in Fairfield township. March 13, 1839 he was united in marriage with Jane THORNTON, in Henry County. Ten children, but only four grew to mature years.
