Ray W. CORNELL Rites Tuesday

Ray W. CORNELL, 79, lifetime resident of the Fairfield Community, died suddenly at 2 p.m. Saturday at his home, 106 E. Briggs.

Last rites will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne L. Bartruff officiating. Military rites will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery by the American Legion.

A retired farmer, CORNELL had lived all his life in the Fairfield Community. He had also operated a grocery store. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion, and a Veteran of World War I.

Ray E. (sic) CORNELL was born Oct. 26, 1892, near Libertyville, the son of George and Catherine STAPLETON (sic - Mary Cathrine STEBLETON) CORNELL. He was married to Zella Mae FUQUA March 20, 1920, who died Dec. 31, 1961.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Ray W. CORNELL, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Ray W. CORNELL Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 9th day of October, 1972, the Last Will and Testament of Ray W. CORNELL deceased bearing date of the 27th day of November, 1968 was admitted to probate in the above named Court and that Booker Smith was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the Clerk of the above named District Court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
