J. O. BOYD, 73, Libertyville, died yesterday at Jefferson County Hospital. Resident of Libertyville for 51 years and was engaged most of his life in buying and selling thoroughbred horses.

Born in Van Buren Co. Dec. 27, 1870, son of John and Lucy BOYD; Aug. 30, 1893, married Neva TROUT, who survives; also one daughter Mrs. David R. HAYNES of Burlington, one granddaughter Mrs. Y. B. WASSON, Jr., of Kansas City, Mo., one greatgranddaughter Patricia Ann WASSON, Kansas City; one brother, S.W. BOYD, Stanley, Kan., and one sister, Clara BOYD, Libertyville. Campbell Funeral Home, Eldon. Interment Fell Cemetery.
