LIBERTYVILLE. William P. BARTHOLOW, 80, retired Libertyville farmer, died Fri. 1:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. Raymond Funeral Home. Fell Cemetery. Had been a resident of Jefferson County for 62 years.

Born July 20, 1885, in McDonough County, Ill., son of William M. and Bertha DIERDORFF BARTHOLOW. Married Emma ACTON Apr. 25, 1906; she died in 1919.

On Apr. 21, 1920, he was married to Maude WAGNER KOONS. Her death occurred June 17, 1957. (Maude is buried in Batavia Cemetery)

Surviving are two sons: Olen BARTHOLOW, Libertyville; Merril BARTHOLOW, Las Vegas, Nev.; and one stepson, Carrol KOONS, Des Moines; 2 grandchildren and one brother, Ira BARTHOLOW, Ottumwa. Member Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
