George Everett BARTHOLOW, 89, died this morning at his home one mile southeast of Fairfield. Raymond Funeral Home. Fell Cemetery.

Born Nov. 30, 1875, in Ill., son of William and Bertha DIERDORFF BARTHOLOW; moved to Jefferson County in 1899, residing on a farm near Libertyville; married Carrie WILSON Dec. 10, 1902; she died Aug. 24, 1960. BARTHOLOW had his home with his son, George BARTHOLOW. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 21 years. Member Modern Woodman Lodge and U.B. Church.

In addition to his son, is survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren and two brothers, William BARTHOLOW, Libertyville; and Ira BARTHOLOW, Ottumwa. One son, one daughter, two sisters and two brothers are deceased.
