Clarinda (BEVANS) AMISS, born July 2, 1847, in Jefferson County, Iowa; married William AMISS Dec. 6, 1866; three daughters, Mrs. Eliza JAMISON who makes her home with her father; Mrs. Sarah HESTON of Fairfield, and Mrs. Minnie BONNETT of Eldon. They raised one boy, Harry Caugar of Coatsville, Mo. Member Brethren Church of Des Moines Township.

Lived entire life in Locust Grove Township with the exception of a very few months in Kansas. Invalid past nine years... Interment in Eldon (Iowa) Cemetery.
