OBITUARY.

Mrs. Mary R. (sic - Mary M.) SHELTON died at her home south of Abingdon September 12th, in her fifty-first year. She was a daughter of the late James SNIDER of Polk township and was born and reared in Jefferson County. She was united in marriage with Luther (sic - William Luther) SHELTON in 1879. To this union were born seven children. Five survive the mother, and with the exception of a daughter, Mrs. May RENO, Oregon, were with her in her last illness….Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the home by Rev. J. Brown and the remains interred in the Smith cemetery (sic - Locust Grove Township).
