Alexander WOODRUFF died Mar. 26, 1917. Born in Indiana about June 19, 1841; married Rebecca HOUDYSHELL June 20, 1870; one child Eddie who died Aug. 10, 1881. Wife died Aug. 27, 1916 (sic - July 27, 1916). Member Christian Church, Batavia.

He and his wife had been residents of Batavia about 20 years. Leaves a brother Jerry WOODRUFF and a sister Mrs. Jane ROUP of Morristown, Ind. Interment Batavia Cemetery.
