KURTZ Rites To Be Wednesday

BRIGHTON -- Anthony KURTZ, former resident of the Brighton Community, passed away about 2:30 p.m. today at the College Hospital in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA). He entered the hospital Sunday afternoon.

Last rites will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Edward Shepherd in charge. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. The Rosary and benediction that was to be held Wednesday morning at the church will not be held.

Anthony KURTZ was born July 11, 1885, son of Mr. and Mrs. John N. KURTZ. He was an employe of the Rock Island and Pacific Railroad for a number of years. He had lived in Des Moines the past ten years.

KURTZ was the last of his family and a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church in Des Moines.
