Peter C. FRITZ Dies Suddenly (sic)

EAST PLEASANT PLAIN, Ia. -- Peter C. (sic - Peter V.) FRITZ, 82, died at 6:30 a.m. this morning at his home in East Pleasant Plain. His death was caused by a heart attack.

Last rites will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Henry B. Geers in charge. Burial will be in the St. Joseph cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Peter C. FRITZ was born Jan. 5, 1882, at Burlington. Spent most all of his life in the Pleasant Plain community where he was a farmer until his retirement.

He was married on March 7, 1905 to Ann REDLINGER who survives. The wedding took place at Clear Creek. FRITZ was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four children: Clarence F. FRITZ, Brighton; Maynard FRITZ, Brighton; Mrs. Genevieve DRISH, Brighton; and MRS. Bertelle SHELANGOSKI, East Pleasant Plain.

Other survivors include nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Ambrose LUTZ, East Pleasant Plain; and three brothers, Leo J. FRITZ, Washington; Mathew FRITZ, Brighton; and Michael FRITZ, also of Brighton.
