Mrs. Cecelia Bridges KASKA, 59, passed away at 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning at her home 7 miles southwest of Harper, Ia. She had been in failing health for the past three years and was taken seriously ill on Saturday afternoon.
She is survived by her husband, John P. KASKA and six children: Adrine Joseph KASKA, Richland(;) George of Wellman; Veinard, stationed at Camp Carson, Colo.; Mrs. Ralph E. KESSEL, Mrs. Christine STANFORD, and Mrs. John W. BIEWEN, all of Fairfield; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Charles PECK, East Pleasant Plain; and the following half brothers and sister: Frank WITKOSKI, Fairfield, Raymond WITKOSKI, Chicago, and Mrs. Alex KELLER, Fairfield. Two children, Francis Daniel and Virginia Emma, died in infancy.
Mrs. KASKA was born May 23, 1884 in Jefferson county, and lived her entire life in this community. The family moved two years ago to the farm near Harper.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 at St. Joseph's church in Pleasant Plain. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's cemetery. The Rosary will be recited this evening at 8:00 at the Hoskins Funeral home in Fairfield.
