James W. Clelland was a Private in Co. D, 19 IVI; killed in action Dec. 7 1862 at Prairie Grove, Ark; buried in National Cemetery, Fayetteville. Ark.

His widow may have been Rachel Ann (Miller) Clelland who later married Thomas L. Carr on 17 Sep 1864.
