Commodore P. Spicer served in First Battery Iowa Light Artillery, Sgt. Born in Penn.; age 23 when enlisted Sept. 1 1861; resident of Fairfield. Wounded severely May 15 1864; died of wounds May 23 1864, Resaca, Ga. Buried in National Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tenn.
