Administrator's Sale.

The undersigned, as administrator of the estate of William DOUGLAS, deceased, will offer at public sale, at the late residence of said decedent, 5 miles northwest of Fairfield,

On Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1877,

Sale to commence at 10 o'clock a.m., the following property belonging to said estate: 28 head of Cattle, nearly all of which are half and three-quarter blood Short-Horns, 1 Short-Horn Bull, Spring Wagon, and other articles.

TERMS:--Sums of $5 and less, cash; on sums over $5 a credit of 10 months will be given, purchaser giving note with approved security.

Note: William Oliver DOUGLAS was born February 3, 1808, and died October 2, 1877. He was married to Sophia KING, who survived him and died in 1907. Both are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot Old.P.116. No obituary was found for William, and Vital Records such as a Death Certificate were not mandatory in IA until July, 1880.
