Salina was named for SALINA PARK, daughter of JAMES and SARAH (CURFMAN) PARK, Walnut Township pioneers in the Lower Richwoods community. SALINA PARK married AMON GARRETT, and they lived for years at Monroe, Iowa; she is said to have been living in Des Moines in 1922, then about 90 years of age.
