SMITH celebrating birthday Saturday

Rod H. SMITH of Fairfield is celebrating his 70th birthday Saturday.

SMITH spent 17 years in law enforcement in the early 1970s, working from the ground up to become a police chief.

Since being back in Fairfield, SMITH has worked in manufacturing the last 28 years at Long Manufacturing and Angri Industrial Plastic, where he retired.
