Larry and Nancy SWAIM of Fairfield will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 28.
Nancy HOGAN and Larry SWAIM were married Oct. 28, 1956, at the Methodist church in Packwood.
They are the parents of two daughters, Sherry TAGLAUER and husband Brian of Fairfield and Stacey SWAIM of Des Moines. They have three grandchildren.
Mr. SWAIM worked on the Railway Post Office for almost 10 years, sorting mail on the train between Omaha and Chicago. When that was discontinued in 1965, he transferred to the Fairfield Post Office as a clerk and city carrier for 30 years. He also raises Angus cattle.
Mrs. SWAIM worked in retail with the longest at J.C. Penney for more than 20 years.
The couple will be celebrating with their children and grandchildren at the Amana Colonies.
