Page 2Former Packwood, Ollie resident turning 90
Clair CHACEY of Allegan, Michigan, formerly of the Packwood and Ollie area is celebrating his 90th birthday Monday.
Mr. CHACEY was born Oct. 31, 1926, to George and Opal CHACEY. He grew up in the Ollie area and graduated from Ollie High School in 1944. After his marriage to Dorothy KLONTZ in 1947, he moved to Packwood where he farmed and worked as a builder. After retiring from farming, he and Dorothy moved into Packwood where he continued to remodel and build many homes in southeast Iowa.
In 2000, the CHACEYs moved to Allegan, Michigan. The transition has allowed them to share in the lives and adventures of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The CHACEYs are the parents of four children, Jeanine JOHNSON and husband Dennis of Allegan, Michigan, Ron CHACEY and wife Leigh Ann of Racine, Wisconsin, Theresa VAUGHN and the late Steve VAUGHN of Paw Paw, Michigan, and Gary CHACEY and wife Anna of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
They have nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
A small family gathering in Allegan is planned to celebrate Mr. CHACEY birthday (sic).
