Ralph and Deanne HICKENBOTTOM of Fairfield will mark their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday.
Deanne BELZER and Ralph HICKENBOTTOM were married July 31, 1976, at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating.
Mr. HICKENBOTTOM is superintendent of Fairfield Evergreen Cemetery. He retired in July 2011 as chief of the Fairfield Fire Department.
Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM is chief financial officer for Iowa State Financial Services in Fairfield.
The couple has two children: son, Matthew HICKENBOTTOM and wife Mary of Waukee; and daughter, Tracy LaVAN and husband Ben of Ankeny. They also have three grandchildren.
The HICKENBOTTOMs celebrated their wedding anniversary by taking an Alaskan cruise with friends.
