Carroll and Janice JOHNSTON of Douds are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
To honor them, a special celebration will be held at 3 p.m. Sept. 12 at Yates Memorial Park -- the Douds Field Day Grounds -- in Douds.
They were married Sept. 19, 1965, in Douds United Methodist Church.
They have lived in the Douds community for the past 50 years.
They have two children: Brent and Amber JOHNSTON of Hedrick and Amy and Matt NELSON of Fairfield. They also have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
