Page 2BROKKENs celebrating 50th wedding anniversary
Leo and Dianne BROKKEN of rural Fairfield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
The couple were married Aug. 8, 1964, at New Sweden Methodist Church in rural Lockridge.
The BROKKENs have lived in the rural Fairfield area their entire marriage. Mr. BROKKEN is retired from Fesler Auto Mall and now drives the 10-15 Transit bus. Mrs. BROKKEN retired as pastor of New Sweden United Methodist Church and now works at Tenco.
They are the parents of Chris BROKKEN of Fairfield; Allen BROKKEN and wife Janet of Bloomington, Illinois; and Joe BROKKEN and spouse Joe MIRABELLA of Seattle, Washington. They also have three grandchildren.
The couple plans to celebrate their anniversary with a two-day Mississippi River cruise at a later date.
