Reunions

MORRIS

The annual Henry and Jane MARK MORRIS reunion was held Aug. 5, at Morris Park, with 30 registering.

The cooler weather was appreciated, and it was a beautiful day in the park. The dust control put on the roads was appreciated by all. Many campers were enjoying the park.

Those attending were: Michael POOLE, Virgil and Cindy MORRIS, Raymond and Connie MORRIS of Keosauqua; Gene and Karen CRAWFORD, Hayden CRAWFORD of Fairfield; Jill and Arron and Ian SILVERS of Ollie; Brian MORRIS and Levi, Nicole MORRIS and Cody CONNOR and Blake CONNOR and Ida Belle MORRIS of Mount Pleasant; Marilyn BOLEY of Birmingham; Damon MORRIS and Tammy BASHART of Brighton; John and Jean SCHUCK, Dorothy POOLE, Dennis DOROTHY, Virgil and Darleen WATSON, Dorothy GILBERT, Eugene and Ramona CLARK and Dena CLARK.

The oldest MORRIS relative attending was 89-year-old Eugene CLARK of Stockport, and the youngest was 20-month-old Blake CONNOR of Mount Pleasant.

Dorothy GILBERT reported on all the activities at the park. On one day there were 180 children taking part in many of the activities provided for them. They had to be divided into groups due to the large number. They loved learning about the horse and how to pet and take care of it. They could make willow whistles and learn to identify birds. Many other things were enjoyed, and they all wanted to return.

A discussion was held on getting T-shirts and caps with a Morris Park emblem to sell to help with the many maintenance projects. Donations would be welcomed and could be mailed to Marilynn BOLEY, 141 N. Liberty St., Birmingham 52535.

The MORRIS reunion is always the first Sunday in August.
