Note regarding two stones in adjoining lots, one of which is completely unreadable and the other nearly so.

~ The family name on one of these badly weathered stones seemed to begin with "Oh___." It is possible this name was OHRU, as other records indicate that a family of that name lived in Lockridge Township, probably for some time prior to 1871. Jonas OHRU's will was dated 9 March 1871; proved 5 August 1872. Names "my wife Charlotte OHRU; my daughter Sarah M. SWENSON or her lawful heirs." This will was witnessed by A. F. Cassel and F. O. Danielson. ~

A hand-written note in the margin reads "Jonas OHRN's tombstone is in Swedish M. E. Cemetery".

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I have no relation to the person(s) mentioned. From transcribing many of the county's censuses I can recall mention of OHRN as a surname, but OHRU doesn't ring a bell at this point. -JS
