MILLER

The descendants of Joe and Louisa MILLER of Germanville met Sunday for a family reunion at the Calu dining room in Fairfield.

A total of 20 people attended. The hostesses were Mary GARRETSON and Heather NELSON. Wayne DIERS gave the noon meal prayer, which was written many years ago by his mother, Clara DIERS.

The original reunion was held in 1939 at the home of Vera and August LUEDTKE, just outside of Four Corners, Iowa. Several generations were in attendance at the first reunion, including grandmother Louisa MILLER. It has been held every year since in many different locations.

The 2011 reunion will be hosted by Gene and Louise LUEDTKE, and Wayne and Loretta DIERS.
