Charles and Shirley McCRACKEN of Fairfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 15.
The McCRACKENs were married at College Avenue Friends Church in Oskaloosa on Aug. 14, 1960.
They have two children: Lisa McCRACKEN KOST and her husband Fred of San Mateo, Calif., and Robert McCRACKEN and wife Tracey of Fairfield. They also have four grandchildren.
Mr. McCRACKEN is semi-retired from farming and continues to serve as a Presbyterian minister. Mrs. McCRACKEN is a retired teacher of the Mount Pleasant School District.
The McCRACKENS were honored by their extended family with a special Twilight River Boat Cruise on the Mississippi River last weekend which was hosted by their children.
