CRILE

The descendants of John and Gottlieben CRILE and their guests met July 25 for a basket lunch and reunion at the Campus Center U.P. Home in Washington.

The $100 family attendance award donated by Marvin CRILE was presented to the reunion committee as a memorial to the fourth son, Charles, who had 22 members attending. Descendants of Henry, Julius, Henrietta, Anna and John Jacob CRILE also were represented. Children's activities were provided by Alisha HIRD and Kathleen ANDERSON. Connie BAUER and Linda BOSTON, residents of the U.P. Home, set up the center for the reunion. The business meeting was led by Loretta DIERS, reunion coordinator.

It was decided that the 94th CRILE reunion also will be held at the same location on July 31, 2011. Children's activities will again be offered. If interested in helping, contact Kathleen ANDERSON at (319) 694-2118.

Those attending from Fairfield were Wayne and Loretta DIERS, Donald and Eunice LANTZ, and Wilma Lewis WHITHAM.

Others from area towns were Beverly, Larry and Celsey HORTON, Carl and Florence GRABER, Dan, Sonja and Hannah GRABER of Lockridge; and Kenneth and Mary Lu PAUL, Alisha HIRD, Roy, Kathleen and Robert ANDERSON of Brighton.

Those attending from other Iowa towns were Mary DAVIS and Scott MEEKS of Davenport; Todd BAUER and Wende ALLENDER of Grandview; Peg CRILE ARBOGAST and Tim of Wayland; Dan and Mary SIEREN of Harper; Richard and Sandra PAUL of Mount Pleasant; and Linda BOSTON, Jim and Marsha WAGENKNECHT, Marvin and Phyllis CRILE, Ken and Connie BAUER, Nick and Rhonda SHELMAN, and Penny MILLER and Rick of Washington.

The CRILE family wishes to thank the U.P. Home for its hospitality and the use of the center.
