QUIGLEY FAMILY REUNION

The QUIGLEY family reunion was held July 11 at Chautauqua Park Shelter No. 2.

The original founders, Charles and Laura QUIGLEY and their four sons and four daughters, are now deceased. The tradition is carried on by Pauline QUIGLEY RODGERS of Fairfield, who acts as secretary/treasurer. Max QUIGLEY continues to act as president of the reunion.

A cooperative dinner was held at 1 p.m. with picture taking and visiting in the afternoon.

Thirty-seven were in attendance. Four families, consisting of 20 persons who have always attended in the past, were unable to attend this year. States represented were: Arizona, Florida, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Nebraska and 11 cities in Iowa.

The following individuals were in attendance: Pauline QUIGLEY RODGERS of Fairfield; Lex RODGERS of Show Low, Ariz.; Debra WHITE of Danville; O.R. and Colleen QUIGLEY of Enid, Okla.; Max and Nancy QUIGLEY of Wapello; Brad QUIGLEY and Jane of Wapello; Laurie QUIGLEY-SMITH, Dave SMITH, Alex and Austin QUIGLEY of Muscatine; Shirley QUIGLEY TOMFELD and Wayne ALLEN of Letts; Cindy WOOD of Columbus Junction; Abby, Payton and Libby WHITE of Conesville; Robert and Phyllis GIDEON of Creston; Viola GIDEON and Connie CHRISMON of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; Allen and Rosie MORRISON of Eldon; Arnold DAVIS of Ocala, Fla.; Carol DAVIS BRIGGS of Hobbs, N.M.; Heidi RICE of Las Cruces, N.M.; Paul and Ruth DAVIS of Omaha, Neb.; Charlie DAVIS, Becky DAVIS, Austin NIPPER, Abbi Leo NIPPER and Lexi NIPPER of Des Moines; and Mike and Debbie DAVIS TODD of Wilton.
